Suzanne M. Wagner receives ISBA Gale Phelps Award


INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 30, 2017) – Suzanne M. Wagner’s contributions to professionalism in the area of family law were recognized at the Indiana State Bar Association’s annual awards luncheon in Indianapolis on Aug. 30, where she received the Gale Phelps Award.


This award is sponsored by the ISBA Family & Juvenile Law Section and was named in memory of Gale M. Phelps, a former chair of the section who was instrumental in creating the Family Law Specialist Certification in Indiana. This award is given annually to an attorney who has worked to elevate the standards of professionalism in the area of family law, including exceptional service to the profession, the highest level of competence, raising the level of professionalism and civility in domestic relations matters and high moral character.


Wagner is a partner at the firm Haller & Colvin, P.C., where she concentrates her practice in the area of family law. She is a registered domestic mediator and is an Indiana Certified Family Law Specialist, as certified by the Family Law Certification Board. She is the current chair of the Indiana State Bar Association's (ISBA) Family & Juvenile Law Section and serves on the executive board of the Allen County Bar Association's Family Law Section. She also serves as a member of the State of Indiana Family Law Independent Certification Organization. She previously served as the Mediation Day Program Coordinator for the Allen Circuit and Superior Court, as well as arbitrator for the Allen Circuit Court. Previously, Wagner served as editor of Domestic Help, a family law publication for Allen County, and Family Matters, a family law publication for the ISBA. She is also a trained collaborative law attorney.


Wagner received her undergraduate degree at Central Michigan University and her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. She is married to Mark Luttik and has one daughter, Sierra Luttik.
