SSFC Scholarships

Available Scholarships

ISBA sections are offering scholarships to this year's Solo & Small Firm Conference, June 1-3 at French Lick Resort. The deadline to apply is April 3. Selected applicants will be notified on or before May 1.

Note: Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship.

Each scholarship includes two nights at French Lick Resort (Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2) plus a conference registration. Please be sure to visit our Solo & Small Firm Conference event page for additional information and details.


INSTRUCTIONS

Review each section's qualification requirements below, then complete the application, which will allow you to indicate which section's scholarship you are applying for. For more information on ISBA sections, click here.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Section
Must be section member (or willing to join) and have fewer than 5 years of experience practicing law. Must send a note to the chair following the conference telling them what they learned at the conference.


Bankruptcy Section
Must have been a member of the section for at least 1 year (on or before March 1, 2022).

Business Law Section
Must be an existing section member. Law students encouraged to apply.

Criminal Justice Section

Must be an existing section member and a solo practitioner.

Elder Law Section
Must be an existing section member (or willing to join). Firm must currently have 15 or fewer practicing attorneys. Must have fewer than 5 years of experience practicing law.

Employment Law Section
Must be an existing section member (or willing to join). Must attend a section meeting to share your experience about the conference. 

Family & Juvenile Law Section
Must be an existing section member (or willing to join). Firm must currently have 15 or fewer practicing attorneys. Must have fewer than 5 years of experience practicing law.

General Practice, Solo/Small Firm Section
Must be an existing section member. Firm must have seven or fewer practicing attorneys. 

Litigation Section
Must be an existing section member. Firm must have seven or fewer practicing attorneys. Must have fewer than 15 years of experience practicing law. 

Probate, Trust & Real Property Section
Must be an existing section member (or willing to join). Firm must have 15 or fewer practicing attorneys. Must have fewer than 11 years of experience practicing law. 

Young Lawyers Section 
Must be an existing section member. Must be a solo practitioner or firm must have 15 or fewer practicing attorneys. Must have fewer than 3 years of experience practicing law.
