Deborah J. Caruso elected to Indiana State Bar Association board of governors

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 22, 2015) – Deborah J. Caruso, Indianapolis, was elected to the board of governors of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) at its annual meeting in French Lick earlier this month. She will serve a two-year term, representing one of 13 districts in the state.
Caruso has been a member of the firm Dale & Eke since 1980, practicing in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors' rights and business litigation. She is a Chapter 7 panel trustee and represents other trustees in Chapter 7 cases, debtors and creditors in business bankruptcy cases, and out of court workouts. She received her A.B., cum laude, from Indiana University in 1978 and her J.D., cum laude, from the I.U. Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1981.
She is a member of the Indianapolis (Distinguished Senior Fellow; to serve as counsel to the president in 2016), Indiana State (past chair, Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Section; past counsel to the president, Board of Governors; past chair, Compensation Committee) and the American bar associations. She is also a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
