The Understanding Model of Conflict Resolution – Business as Usual or Something Different?

Presented by the ISBA ADR Section

Tuesday, October 21, 2025
3:30 – 4:30 p.m. ET

1.0 hr. CLE/CME

About the event

This program will involve a highly interactive discussion of the understanding model of conflict resolution, whereby the parties engage in a non-coercive dialogue as they help each other understand and take responsibility for resolving their conflict. This interactive discussion will benefit experienced mediators as well as those professionals who are newer to the arena of conflict resolution. Participants will learn how the understanding model, which is a departure from the traditional caucusing method of mediation, can help parties effectively resolve conflict through open communication and collaboration.
