About the event 

Join the PTRP Section, Tax Section, and the Ethics Committee for a discussion on the ever-evolving world of digital legal practice. Speakers will discuss remote online notarization, ethical considerations for technology (including AI), and the Judges & Lawyers Assistance Program (JLAP). Following the presentations, attendees are invited to connect with each other and to enjoy food and beverages in the beautiful Indiana Historical Society. 

Throughout the presentation, attendees will view a remote online notarization from the client's perspective and watch a live remote online notarization. Presenters will also review and discuss:

  • The steps taken in an online notarization to confirm who is signing
  • How to set-up documents in an online notarization
  • The security surrounding a document signed by remote online notarization
  • The ethical considerations that a practitioner must consider for staff handling remote online notarizations
  • Steps to take for rushed remote notarizations
