Protecting Your Fur Babies: Estate Planning for Pets

Presented by the ISBA Animal Law Section

On-demand
1.0 hr. CLE

About the event

Our fur babies are very much a part of our families. Yet many pet parents do not consider their pets when making an estate plan or even know this is an option. Sadly, many pets are surrendered every year because of an owner’s failing health or death. Advanced planning can avoid that scenario in many cases. Estate planning attorney Lisa Adler will discuss current Indiana law regarding estate planning for pets, including pet trusts.

Presenter:
Lisa M. Adler, Harrison & Moberly, LLP

What you will learn
