Trust & Estate Specialty Application

Trust and
Estate Specialization

The Trust and Estate Specialization Certification program is designed to recognize attorneys who have achieved a level of experience and expertise in their field and to advance professionalism and civility in the area of trust and estate law. Certified specialists exceed basic competence and demonstrate extraordinary knowledge and skill, strengthening the practice of law and enhancing the state’s legal profession.

In order to be certified, an attorney must:

  • have passed an exam in the area of trust and estate law
  • meet practice and continuing education requirements
  • receive favorable evaluations by other attorneys and judges familiar with the attorney’s work in the area of trust and estate law

The Trust & Estate Specialty Board (TESB) is an Independent Certifying Organization (ICO) approved by the Indiana Office of Admissions & Continuing Education and administers this specialization program. A list of certified specialists, certification requirements and additional resources may be found at  www.indianatrustestatelawyers.org.
