The Indiana State Bar Association is seeking candidates to fill a vacant position as a delegate to the ABA House of Delegates. The delegate will serve four years as one of our Association’s five delegates to the ABA House, which meets twice annually. These meetings generally occur in early February and August, and require three to four days per meeting. A small stipend is paid by the ISBA to help defray the cost of the delegate’s participation. Membership in both the ISBA and the ABA is required.

Anyone interested in volunteering for this position should submit a letter of interest not later than Aug. 12 to Tom Pyrz, Executive Director, Indiana State Bar Association, One Indiana Square, Suite 530, Indianapolis, IN 46204 or The ISBA Board of Governors will make the selection of the delegate not later than Oct. 1. Prior service in the ABA House of Delegates is not required but is considered a positive factor in the selection. The delegate will assume his or her position Oct. 1 and attend his or her first meeting in February of 2017 in Miami, Fla.
