Professional enjoyment: helping people

Your inspiration: As part of the Bicentennial Celebration in July 1976, I went to a play about Oliver Wendell Holmes at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. I decided that if I could have any job in the world, I would like to be a U.S. Supreme Court justice. I thought if I wanted that job, I'd better go to law school.

Why bar association involvement: Anything we can do to help lawyers do their jobs better is worthwhile. Also, it's fun to get to know and spend time with other lawyers.

If not a lawyer: play-by-play sports announcer or writer

Fav hobbies: sports public-address announcing, reading and walking. Fav book or author and current reading: Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck is an all-time favorite. Also, I have read and studied Faulkner, and think that Absalom! Absalom! is one of the best books that most people don't know about. Fav vacation spot: I love big cities. I also enjoy a week in a state-park cabin. Fav food or restaurant: My favorite food is cold pumpkin pie. I have very simple tastes, and am happy eating at Wendy's once or twice per week. Top of my bucket list: I would like to write a book that would make a positive difference in peoples' lives.
