Judge Jackson-Akiwumi will discuss her years of multi-dimensional service—including her experiences as a clerk, big-law attorney, federal public defender, teacher, and judge. She will share her journey on becoming the first former public defender to sit on the Seventh Circuit and highlight how the Seventh Circuit operates, and the broad importance of the rule of law.
