Tuesday Tip: Did you know that some professional liability insurance policies provide coverage to an attorney for responding to subpoenas? So, if you receive a request for production or a deposition notice, you may want to consult your insurance broker or your Policy. You might be able to receive the assistance of counsel to review and respond to the request, to seek security for your costs to produce documents under Trial Rule 34(C), or to help prepare you and defend you at a deposition. Check back here each Tuesday for your useful practice tip of the week and join us June 2-4 for the Solo and Small Firm Conference in French Lick, Indiana.
