The National Attorneys General Training & Research Institute (NAGTRI) of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) is partnering with the Office of the Indiana Attorney General to conduct a tuition-free, one and one-half day training for prosecutors and investigators on Human Trafficking. The training will be limited to prosecutors and investigators. CLE and LE Credits will be offered.

The first day will include an overview of human trafficking, an introduction to the legal framework - international, national, and state - regarding trafficking in persons, partnership models, victim issues, investigatory and interviewing techniques, and prosecutorial theories and practices. The second day will include a discussion on prosecutorial theories and practices, an ethics discussion based on a human trafficking case study, and a workshop on developing a human trafficking prosecution. Also, attached is a description of the course.

The training itself is provided for no cost, and participants are responsible only for hotel, food and travel. There are limited scholarships available for hotel costs as provided by the National Association of Attorneys General for individuals who must travel 50 miles or more away. The scholarship deadline is COB on April 8, 2016. You may apply for a scholarship by sending a brief statement of interest in the training, and that you need to have a scholarship to attend to

The deadline to register is April 24, 2016.
