About the program

Artificial intelligence (AI) evolves daily. In less than a year, ChatGPT has released new versions and AI has evolved to new heights. Unfortunately, this means lawyers must continually educate themselves on the new technology.

In this on-demand CLE, Cari Sheehan provides an update on the current state of AI in the legal profession. She highlights new ethical and legal concerns that have arisen, shares various use cases for AI in a legal practice, and walks through how to use AI safely and ethically.

This on-demand CLE continues the discussion from Sheehan's previous ISBA CLE, ChatGPT: What Is It, and What Are the Ethical Implications? Participants do not need to have watched the first program to attend this program.

Artificial Intelligence in the Legal Industry: An ISBA Series Presented by LexisNexis

This is the first on-demand program in ISBA's yearlong series educating the Indiana legal community about artificial intelligence from various angles impacting the legal profession. The series includes five ISBA-produced on-demand CLE (available to pre-purchase as a bundle or individually), two in-person CLE, and an offering of written resources presented throughout 2023-2024.

Each CLE will address a different aspect of AI in the legal profession. Participants can sign up for the ISBA's AI Program Bundle to receive access to each program as it's released, or they can purchase each program individually.
