Conducting Mediation Remotely
Access to Justice Challenges and Opportunities Amidst a Pandemic
1.0 hr. CLE/CME
What you'll learn
Experienced attorney mediators will provide tips for conducting mediations remotely, particularly for low-income Hoosiers. They will discuss mediations conducted by telephone and videoconference and their similarities and differences from in-person mediation sessions, which are less possible during the COVID-19 closures. The mediators will address foreclosure mediation, family law mediation and other mediations with unrepresented parties. Remote access by phone and video conference can make alternative dispute resolution more accessible. The panel will address both expected and unexpected challenges that can be overcome with preparation and precaution.
