Dr. Jane Sherron De Hart, author of Ruth Bader Ginsburg: A Life, will discuss the impact Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had on women in the legal profession and in politics.
**This will be a moderated live stream of a course simultaneously taking place in Columbus, OH.

9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Fireside Chat Featuring Dr. Jane Sherron De Hart (1.0 NLS)
Dr. De Hart will engage in a conversation about the impact Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had on the current and future generation of women lawyers. This interactive discussion will be followed by a brief Q&A from the audience in Ohio.

10:15 – 11:45 a.m. The History of Women in Politics: A Panel Discussion (1.5 NLS)
Panelists will discuss the history of women in politics, from the suffrage movement to the current wave of women running for and being elected to office in record numbers. Professor De Hart’s book, Sex, Gender, and the Politics of Sex: A State and a Nation will be referenced during this discussion.
