The 2019 Annual Meeting is your opportunity to lead, serve, and connect.
The ISBA Annual Meeting maximizes your time while enhancing your career. You’ll network with professionals from across the state while hearing from skilled speakers discussing timely, need-to-know topics. Attend the whole conference or just the day that fits best with your schedule.
Join us this year for a new CLE track, Professional Development and Essential Skills, where you'll participate in conversations about the art of delegation, practice management tips to minimize malpractice risk, strategic thinking, and more. Don’t miss dinner with the keynote speaker, David Rudolf, a defense attorney featured in the Netflix docuseries “The Staircase,” whose clients include author Michael Peterson and former NFL player Rae Carruth.
Help us lead the future of our organization at the house of delegates meeting on Wednesday afternoon as well as at the assembly meeting that Thursday, where President Todd Spurgeon passes the gavel to Leslie Craig Henderzahs. Then, stay to meet board leaders and connect with colleagues at the ever-popular law school alumni receptions.
The ISBA Annual Meeting is your chance to join the rest of the Hoosier legal community in connecting with each other while fine-tuning essential knowledge and skills. We hope to see you there!
Why should I attend?
Simply put – to help advance your career and the legal profession. Meet and discuss hot topics in the legal world with attorneys from across the state. Develop your leadership skills and fine-tune your knowledge with educational sessions specifically designed to help attorneys grow in their practice and the profession. Develop the connections you need to build a successful practice and personal network of support. Participate in the Member Assembly Meeting where we will elect the 2019-21 board members and induct Leslie Craig Henderzahs as the 2019-20 president.
I already have enough CLE. How else will I benefit?
The Annual Meeting is about more than CLE, although we certainly encourage you to attend for the learning opportunities regardless if you get credit. The annual meeting is an opportunity to connect with attorneys from across the state who can share their knowledge, experience, and friendship with you. You'll meet them in fun, casual settings including law school alumni receptions, an incoming ISBA president social, and more.
Who will I meet?
Build state-wide connections with attorneys of all professions – judges, in-house council, large and small firm attorneys, solo practitioners, experienced veterans, new professionals, law school alumni, past ISBA presidents, board members, and more.
How much does it cost?
Click here to view registration fees and the cutoff dates for early bird discounts.
The full-time registration fee includes 8.5 hours of CLE and all special events, receptions and meals. Be sure to check out the low price for judges, affiliate members, law students and members licensed less than five years. Additionally, there is a CLE-only registration as well as Thursday-only and-Friday only registration options.
Do I have to be a member to attend?
No. All attorneys and legal professionals are invited to attend regardless if they are an Indiana State Bar Association member. However, the financial savings of the member discount for the annual meeting makes it worth it for you to join ISBA.
