Choose your own adventure

In light of COVID-19, we knew that the Annual Meeting had to change, including its design and delivery.

Using a filter of prudence and possibilities, we’re excited to announce that ISBA Annual Meeting will be a hybrid event—both an in-person (at the JW Marriott Hotel) and virtual experience. We want everyone to experience the Annual Meeting in a way that works best for them. Both formats will enable you to grow through education and connections that are insightful, meaningful, and actionable. Not lost in our objective is the focus on the Duty of Care, delivering a safe, secure and healthy environment. Click here to read about the health and safety precautions that will be strictly followed at the in-person experience.

Fully recognizing that every individual’s situation is in flux—between job losses, travel freezes, etc.—ISBA’s goal is to make it easier for you to attend the Annual Meeting. As a result, we have reduced our program pricing across the board. Once you register, if you’re still not able to attend the live event, a full refund will be available should you not be able to attend due to illness or if you have come into contact with someone else who has COVID-19. You can also change your registration to the virtual experience at any time.

The CLE tracks will be live streamed. Registration for both in-person and virtual attendees will include access to recordings of all CLE sessions. For those wishing to attend the sessions in-person, attendance will be capped, and there will be assigned seating. The CLE track schedules will be staggered to cut down on congestion in the hallways. Additionally, there will be 30-minute programming breaks to allow for attendees to get some fresh air, grab something to drink, or use the restroom while we clean and prepare for the next presentation.

Both the House of Delegates and Assembly Meetings will be live streamed so members may participate virtually. A capped in-person attendance will also be available - you must reserve your spot ahead of time. For information on how to register virtually or in-person, contact Kim Latimore-Martin.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out Ashley Higgins. We hope to see you in October—face to face or virtually. Until then, stay safe and stay well!
