Jacqueline M. Pimentel-Gannon receives ISBA Community Service Award

 

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 30, 2017) – Jacqueline Pimentel-Gannon’s exceptional non-legal work in the community was recognized at the Indiana State Bar Association’s annual awards luncheon in Indianapolis on Aug. 30, where she received the Community Service Award.

 

Pimentel-Gannon is an associate at the firm Faegre Baker Daniels in its Indianapolis office. She is a member of the nonprofit organizations group. She provides legal counsel to a variety of entities that are exempt from federal and state income taxes, including public charities, private foundations, colleges and universities and other educational institutions, churches, scientific and healthcare-related organizations, fraternities and sororities, and trade organizations. Pimentel-Gannon advises nonprofit clients on a broad range of matters throughout the life cycle of tax-exempt organizations – from formation and tax-exemption application, to governance and ongoing compliance issues, to annual IRS filings and mergers and dissolutions.

 

Pimentel-Gannon also represents financial institutions and nonprofit clients in debt and equity financing transactions and leasing transactions. She has represented developers, businesses and individuals on both buyer and seller sides of acquisition and disposition transactions. Pimentel-Gannon assists clients with property transfers and title and survey issues and concerns.

 

Prior to attending law school, she was a third grade teacher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Dallas, Texas.
