Patricia L. McKinnon appointed as Indiana State Bar Association secretary

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 22, 2015) – Patricia L. McKinnon, Indianapolis, was appointed as secretary of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) at its annual meeting in French Lick earlier this month. She was appointed by ISBA President Carol M. Adinamis, and her term will expire in October 2016.
McKinnon is a practitioner at her firm, Law Office of Patricia L. McKinnon. Previously, she served as a part-time public defender for the Marion County Public Defender Agency. She received her B.A. from Augustana College in 1983 and her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1994.
McKinnon is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State (chair, Solo & Small Firm Conference) bar associations, Indianapolis Bar Foundation (past board member; Fellow; Senior Fellow) and the Indiana Bar Foundation (Fellow). She currently serves on the board of directors for Indiana Legal Services and is a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for Kids' Voice of Indiana. She is also active in her community, currently serving as president of her son’s Football Parents’ Association at Covenant Christian High School and as an adult Sunday school teacher at John Knox Presbyterian Church (past deacon, session member).
