Hon. Angela G. Sims elected to Indiana State Bar Association board of governors

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 22, 2015) – Hon. Angela G. Sims, Anderson, was elected to the board of governors of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) at its annual meeting in French Lick earlier this month. She will serve a two-year term, representing one of 13 districts in the state.
Judge Sims was first appointed judge of the Madison Circuit Court by Gov. Mitch Daniels in 2012 and then elected in 2014. She also serves as judge of the Madison County Problem Solving Court. Previously, Judge Sims practiced law at the firm Hulse Lacey Hardacre & Austin from 1999 to 2012, becoming a partner at the firm in 2005. She also served as a major felony public defender in Madison County from 2000 to 2012.
Judge Sims is a member of the Madison County (past president, 2004) and Indiana State bar associations and the Indiana Judge's Association. She serves on the foundation board for St. Vincent Regional Hospital Anderson and is active with her children's school community and her church community.
She received her B.S. from Indiana University in 1996 and her J.D. from I.U. Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1999.
