Randall T. Shepard Bicentennial Lecture

In celebration of the state bicentennial, the Court of Appeals of Indiana and the Indiana Supreme Court are hosting a free Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session. The one hour free CLE will take place May 19 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Supreme Court Courtroom at the Indiana State House.

The program centers on two biographies that appear in Indiana's 200 - The People Who Shaped the Hoosier State, an Indiana Historical Society Press publication. Court of Appeals Judge John G. Baker will discuss the life of former Indiana Supreme Court Judge Jesse Lynch Holman and IUPUI Professor of History Robert Barrows will present on the work of social reformer Albion Fellows Bacon.

The presentation, the Randall T. Shepard Bicentennial Lecture, is named after the former Indiana Chief Justice who is a member of the Indiana Bicentennial Commission. Registration is now closed due to reaching seating capacity.

The program will be live webcast, although CLE credit is only available to those who register and attend the lecture in person.
