The Indiana State Bar Association is seeking volunteer attorneys for its annual "Talk to a Lawyer Today" program held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Approximately 200 members will offer brief, free legal consultations to the public.


In recent years, more than 2,000 attorneys have given volunteered their time, service and expertise through the "Talk to a Lawyer Today" program. 


Volunteer opportunities are available statewide.Attorneys are needed for a minimum of two-hours, as coordinated by their local Pro Bono plan administrator. Legal consultations may be over the phone or in-person. In exchange for volunteering, attorneys receive a free manual with a “primer” on Indiana Law.
