The newsletter of the Probate, Trust & Real Property Section
is currently being published four times per year. The editors

They welcome members to contribute articles and information.
Section members receive the mailings of the newsletter as

Section Purpose
The purpose of the Section shall be to bring together for
furtherance of their mutual interests members of the Indiana
State Bar Association interested in Probate Law, Estate Planning,
Estate and Guardianship Administration, Trusts, Real Estate
Law, Death Taxes and other related branches of law; and also:
(1) To provide a forum for mutual help in the
practice of law in such areas of interest and to discuss and
formulate solutions to problems occurring in such practice;
(2) To uphold the dignity and standing of lawyers
and the honor and reputation of the members of this Association
engaging in these practices;
(3) To promote the administration of justice
by simplifying and expediting related forms and procedures;
(4) To aid and encourage the holding of seminars,
institutes, and legal panels connected with the Section's
objectives;
(5) To encourage cordiality among the members;
(6) To protect the rights and interest of the
members;
(7) To promote the members' general welfare;
and
(8) To assemble and disseminate information
for the better understanding of the public in matters relating
to the legal areas of interest to the Section.

Bylaws
Officers and Council
The Chair, Chair Elect, Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer
hold their positions for one-year terms commencing at the
Annual Meeting held during the ISBA Annual Meeting in the
fall.
The Council consists of:
-One member of the Section from each ISBA District.
-No more than seven (7), and no less than three
(3), at-large Council members shall be selected by the Chair,
Chair-Elect and Vice Chair in order to achieve a balance of
representatives of Council members among lawyers who concentrate
in probate or real estate.
-The Officers of the Section, the immediate
Past Chair of the Section and the Chair of each of the standing
committees of the Section, also shall be members of the Council.
-District Council members serve for a two-year
term.
