ABA Business Bar Leaders Conference
For the second consecutive year, the ISBA Business Section will participate in the Section of Business Law of the American Bar Association sixth Annual Business Bar Leaders Conference on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., in Chicago, Illinois. The Conference offers an opportunity for state and local bar business law leaders to meet together, share ideas, and identify resources in the ABA and in other state and local organizations that can help them.
The 2007 Conference was attended by almost forty business law leaders from state and local bar organizations, as well as by leaders of the ABA Section of Business Law and its staff, and included a keynote address by Karen J. Mathis, President of the ABA. Click here for a copy of last year’s agenda which will give you an idea of what to expect for 2008. Materials from previous years’ conferences are available on the website of the Section’s Committee on State and Local Bar Relations, which hosts the conference.
Last year, our Indiana representative of the ISBA Business Section Council networked with other bar association leaders and learned about different programs and resources the associations offer and had a great time. We hope to send one or two representatives from the Council to the Conference each year.
