ISBA delegate to ABA House sought
The Indiana State Bar Association is seeking a candidate to fill a position as a delegate to the ABA House of Delegates. The delegate will serve a two-year term beginning in mid-August. This position is one of our Association’s five delegates to the ABA House, which meets twice annually, generally in early February and early August. The sessions require three to four days per meeting. A stipend is paid by the ISBA to help defray costs of the delegate’s participation.
Volunteers for this position should submit a letter of interest not later than June 3 to Tom Pyrz, executive director, Indiana State Bar Association, One Indiana Square, Suite 530, Indianapolis, IN 46204. The State Bar’s Board of Governors will make the selection. Prior service in the ABA House of Delegates is not required, but is considered a positive factor in the selection. ABA membership is required.
The delegate will attend his or her first meeting in February of 2014 in Chicago.
