Nominations for next honoree sought by May 1!

William F. McNagny, Fort Wayne, received the Indiana Bar Foundation’s 2009 Legendary Lawyer Award at a luncheon on Jan. 8. McNagny was recognized for his demonstrated adherence to the principles and traditions of the profession, service to his community, and skills in litigation and trial advocacy spanning over 50 years. Former Legendary Lawyer honoree, Jeanne S. Miller, Fort Wayne, knew McNagny as “a poet, a raconteur and a wit.” A courtroom adversary, Daniel A. Roby, Fort Wayne, remarked, “In the courtroom, Bill had no equal. He was nothing short of a genius. He would take my arguments and adroitly turn them around to his own advantage, a trait I greatly feared, admired and coveted.”

To nominate an attorney for the Legendary Lawyer Award, nomination forms are available on the Foundation’s Web site, www.inbf.org, or you may also contact the Indiana Bar Foundation for more information. The nomination deadline is May 1. Please mark your calendars and plan on joining the Foundation’s Fellows July 17 at the French Lick Springs Resort for the annual Fellows Dinner, held jointly with the ICLEF Masters Series Seminar.
